I think there's a difference, though. Jim Carrey I never had an respect for as an actor simply because he didn't show any respect for the art. Overacting in that way is roughly the equivalent of painting in colors that are much to bright just so they'll draw attention and soothe the masses who are looking for eye candy. After "The Truman Show," though, I did begin to respect him, and if he keeps going in this direction, he'll be fine.

George Clooney, on the other hand, is just a bad actor. No, I take that back; he's a bad actor with a bad haircut. He always seems as though he's reading his lines off of cue cards, as never has any intensity or believability in his acting. Though, I admit, I have not seen "Out of Sight" (I avoided it precisely *because* George Clooney was in it), I honestly don't think he's even a passable actor, much less a good one.
