Alright... This has been the fifth mention of "A Wind in the Door" on the Message Forum, so I'm just going to have to go and GET this book! Since mitochondria are indeed an alien species biologically, I'm curious to see exactly which of their real-world aspects did L'Engle adapt to fit as fictional characteristics.
