Creepy. Just yesterday I had a weird encounter with a road sign, and now here I am checking the forum and it's all about road signs.
Yesterday I met a very large road sign, complete with its supporting posts, floating happily out into a river channel. It was one of those rectangular ones marked with arrows to indicate a sharp corner (assuming they have similar ones in the USA). Anyway, it was about ten feet long and I felt like a complete berk taking it back to shore in a dinghy, which for some idiotic reason was deemed the most suitable thing to do. Ever seen someone rowing along in a tiny dinghy with a huge road sign held up balanced on top saying "Sharp Turn Ahead"? Yeah.

By the way, I think "This Hodge Podge of Drivel" would be an *excellent* forum motto.
