Speaking of which... usta be a sign near Erwin where a farmer wanted to warn motorists that they were approaching a cattle crossing and a farm equipment crossing. He could get the state to put up either one of those farmer-on-the-tractor signs or the milk-cow-just-standing-there (which is all they do) signs. But not both.
So he made his own cow-on-a-tractor-sign.
