For those of you who remember, my mom had a needle biopsy done on a lump on her thyroid a couple of weeks ago. She got the results today.

It's benign, though there are calcium cells that indicate the possibility of cancer forming. She goes back in six months for another test. The doctor said thyroid cancer is very slow-growing and it will be easy to catch if it develops.
