Aquatics (diving, swimming, synchronized swimming, Water Polo)

Athletics (races (including but not limited to obstacle courses), throwing (discus, hammer, javelin, shot put))

Boxing
Canoe / kayak
Cycling
Equestrian (dressage, jumping, eventing)
Fencing
Football
Gymnastics (artistic (balance beam, floor exercises, horizontal bar, parallel bars, uneven bars, pommel horse, rings, vault, individual all-around, and team competition), rhythmic, trampoline)
Handball
Hockey
Judo
Modern Pentathlon (shooting, fencing, swimming, show jumping, and running)
Rowing
Sailing
Shooting
Softball
Table Tennis
Taekwondo
Tennis
Triathlon (swimming, cycling, and running)
Volleyball

The Winter Olympics has:
Biathlon (cross-country skiing and rifle shooting)
Bobsleigh
Curling
Ice Hockey
Luge
Skating (figure (individual, pairs), speed)
Skiing (Alpine, cross-country, freestyle, Nordic combined, ski jumping, and snowboard)

Looks like Summer has the greater variety of events, but that might mean more time not watching the event you really like. Hmm. Maybe Stephen's on to something...
