I didn't mean I laughed derisively, or that I haven't also laughed over my own culture shock. It's a phenomenon that fascinates me more than anything else, and it frequently leads to pretty funny misunderstandings. And people who have returned from travelling abroad somewhere invariably have great stories to tell.
