This is a concern of mine about electric cars. Some friends of my parents have a Prius, and the thing is so dang quiet you can't hear it coming around a corner! When you live someplace like I do, where there are a lot of blind corners, no noise is a dangerous thing. I think the manufacturers ought to install something that makes *some* noise--less than regular cars make now, but just enough to alert pedestrians and even animals.
