At a conference this weekend, sans spouse, sans kids, with a couple of hours to kill.

Went to a movie. By myself.

All alone.

No "Mom, can I have more popcorn?" No "Can we move seats? That guy in front of me is too tall." (Kids)

No "I don't know, the whole premise just seems weak to me." (Husband)

No "I love that jacket - do you think I could wear that?" (Going-to-movies-with friend).

Just me, and Orlando, and the blonde chick from Spiderman - Kirsten/Kristen someone. I went to see Elizabethtown which was somethink I might not have (probably would not have) ever seen had I not been alone. Aside from four little goomers throwing Skittles, it was a wonderful, check-your-brains-in, two hours of relaxing fun.

Why don't I do this all the time?
