I think I knew that New Zealand had plastic money, but in this morning's paper, it said that Australia does too. A columnist, who had been down under, was offered double his change back if he could tear the plastic money in two. He couldn't. Must be tough stuff.
But could a country like the USA, who would not accept the metric system, ever go for plastic money? No. But how about paper credit cards?
As long as our coins sound right, I don't care what material they use for folding money. Howard
