I do wonder how you reconcile this. The beliefs that you reference cover a wide range of examples: scientific, political, artistic, personal, etc. So, does the word "belief" mean the same thing for each of them? Using 9/11 as an example, was the belief that we were immune or was it that most of us just couldn't imagine something so big? Was that belief held by all? I'm guessing that it isn't because people didn't really believe that but, rather, just didn't want to think about it because it was an uncomfortable thing to consider. But I'm probably veering off a bit too much with this. But, you say beliefs change all the time. What does this mean? If that is the case, should we expect that your current belief will most likely change sooner or later? Should we expect all beliefs to change at some point? And does the fact that beliefs change mean the beliefs are wrong or that people are wishy washy or just ignorant and lazy?
I agree, we change, we flip flop, we discover. Your love of Baroque grew because of new information that you hadn't considered or saw in a new way. So, again, I appreciate that you are asking questions. Keep doing so and if your beliefs do change, hopefully it is because you are getting more pieces that lead you to what is true.
