More than 50 years ago, I graduated from high school. Last week, I watched two of my grandchildren, Matt and Lauren, do the same. Both were in the top of their class (I was in the top 100 of my class.)and without consulting each other, both have opted to go to Maryville College. Both are in pre-med and will likely transfer to the University of Tennessee in a couple of years.

Right now, Matt is in Memphis playing soccor. His team hopes to win the state championship. So you can see that he isn't just a bookworm.

When I was their age, my goal was to stay out of the Army.
