Coming To America? BURN.

That, Trading Places, and Bowfinger are about the only Eddie Murphy comedies I *have* liked. Admittedly, Coming To America is probably the weakest of the three, but browsing his filmography on the IMDb reveals even more titles than I remembered that I couldn't bring myself to see and wound up getting pretty abhorrent reviews. The guy's got talent, but it's not in picking scripts, that's for sure. Has *any* other actor with talent in the first place been in such a high number and percentage of duds?

This reminds me of the trailers I've been seeing for The Haunted Mansion. Is it just me, or does this look like the new worst movie of the year? I don't apply sticking judgments to movies based on trailers, but I don't recall a trailer that's made a movie I might otherwise have been interested in look so absolutely lifeless.
