Point is well taken, although I'm not sure why you thought I was going to give up on donating in the first place. I'm sure I will try again sometime.

I have to wonder why the Red Cross would have had to "go as far" as threatening to blacklist you. Were you trying to donate blood even though you knew they were screening you out? Every pint counts, but sometimes a pint doesn't count in a good way. I'm perfectly happy being turned down just to be on the safe side. If my blood was worth more than such a minimal risk, they would have taken it.

Also, are you sure about being able to donate if you're receiving chemotherapy? The drive I went to was quite specifically screening out not just chemo patients but anyone who has ever *had* chemotherapy treatment.
