He won a bunch of Oscars for "Dances With Wolves" but he's basically done crap since then. And the guy is annoying. Personally, I can't believe he's in ANOTHER baseball movie (especially one that looks as formulaic and contrived as "For Love of the Game"). The only thing I can figure is that his previous baseball flicks have done well, so he figured "Hey, why not?" Then again, he's not to discerninlg when it comes to picking scripts... > > > > Well, I don't want you all to get the wrong opinion of me, but i liked Costner in Field of Dreams. That movie was awesome, and he did a fine job in it. I can't speak for many of his other movies, because I haven't seen them. But I just wanted to let you all know that he has done some credible work. At least in my eyes. > > > > famous > > Well, I'd say "Dances with Wolves" was pretty credible too. "Field of Dreams" was pre-Wolves (1989 as opposed to 1990). I can't think of anything he's done since then that was good (and I thought "Tin Cup" was pretty bad, Sam). > > Stephen
Nothing to do with the qualities of Kevin Costner, but it has something to do with famous people, and so on...:
I liked "Dances with Wolves", i dont have anything against Kevin Costner, well, correction, i do have something against all actors, or actrices, who more or less built up an ego, in such way that they can reach the sky (or try to reach the sky). I mean, whats the point? So they play in movies, and they make a lot of money, and many people worship them (the fools). They are just normal persons! They also have to go to the bathroom from time to time, they also have to sleep and eat and drink... What makes them different from us? Hmm? What? O, they play-in-movies! Wow, big deal! Thats their job, ive got my job too (which isnt playing in movies, lol), we all got jobs (thats the idea anyway). Thats the point of being a human: we get born, have our childhood, get a job, make some money, enjoy life, and then we die...
Frankly, i hate all that hero-famous people-worshipping-thing. (sorry, famous, i wont adore ya when you're famous, lol, not because you're famous anyway) And, i know there was a thread about this, but i dont have any heroes. If you mean by heroes that you look up to someone, you adore someone, you worship someone, then i dont have a hero. I do have a lot of respect for a lot of people, and i could call them my heroes, but i wouldnt die for them, or get dizzy when i see them. Just *act* (brings me back to the base-point of this thread) normal, live your life, have fun, dont look at anyone else...
