I know, me too -- I have a man-sized ego/sense of pride. But it always feels so much better, later, to be able to know I had a
proactive part in speeding the reconciliation, or to say to myself, "I did the best I could to straighten
things out; if it didn't work, I'm not the one who didn't try." What's the phrase? That first
step's a doozy.
