Adding in a link on each of the message pages would be kind of nasty for me to do -- not so much in newly generated messages but in all the ones that have already been posted. (And I'd want to have a uniform solution, of course.)
Wow. All I could think while reading all of these different, yet equally viable solutions was that the way each person navigates must be indicative of some basic personality trait, and WE ALL DO IT DIFFERENTLY. Just like when I was first learning a Windows word processing program and found there were about three ways to do each thing, and rarely did any large number of people overwhelmingly choose one way of doing it (thereby proving, on some level, that one way was better or easier). I have an odd habit of always using the "back" button to get to some, defined-only-in-my-head, "starting point." It's never my home page, even; just a place I need to get back to before I can go somewhere else. I think it must reflect some need to always have a foundation, a comfort zone, a base. I call it odd because usually I strive for efficiency in all things, at this is the least efficient method of navigation I can think of. Any thoughts on your own methods?
