I more or less surf the Web for a living (well, okay, to research products that I'm writing about), and I use the Forward button all the time. For example, I'll use it when I'm reading a twenty-some page computer hardware preview and I want to drop back several pages to re-read something from earlier in the report, and then jump forward to the page I was reading last, without having to wait for all the intervening pages to reload. Same goes for having a bunch of related PC hardware sites in the "Back" queue, and jumping back and forth to compare info (though usually in that case I'll have them in separate browser windows).
