They could be such a good team, but they always fall apart in the endgame. Last night was tied 4-4, and then the Cubs let *three* runs through in the fourteenth! Three! There is no excuse for that. Nor is there any excuse for losing to the Brewers. At least Sammy got his sixtieth home run.

But, anyway, I wish he and Mark McGuire could've broke that record last year at the same game. It would've been so neat. Sammy was a very gracious loser though. Even though he is still really a winner. You know what I mean.

That's exatly the thing, though - the Cubs *aren't* a bad team. They have all the potential to be one of the best teams in baseball. They just can't seem to get it together. Last year, if you'll recall, they almost got to the playoffs (they just missed by one game). Sammy is, of course, an asset, but he's hardly the entire team. It always seems to be the endgame where they fall apart, too - they're generally pretty strong in the first few innings, but then all heck breaks loose later on.
