We just started getting A&Ws in my area, but
the funny thing is, NONE of them stand alone.
I know of three of them, and each of them is
paired with another, more well-known FF
chain restaurant. The other funny thing is that
each one is a different pairing. So I can go to
the one closest to me and choose between
A&W or Kentucky Fried Chicken. I can go a
little bit farther and get A&W or Long John
Silvers. The one over near my sister's place is
A&W and Taco Bell.

Speaking of restaurant pairings, we've also
got combination Taco Bell/Pizza Hut places
(although the only pizza you can get there is
the personal pan pizzas) and Wendy's/Tim
Hortons. As far as I know, there ARE no Tim
Hortons restaurants in Ohio that aren't paired
with a Wendy's.
