Did you ever wonder what the A and W in A&W stand for? Originally, they stood for Ale and Wine, but they never got a liquor licenses so they started selling Root Beer. For a while they considered changeing it to R&B for Root and Beer, but they didn't want to be confused with 1950's music. True story. Have I ever lied to you?
