Last night I went to see The Astronaut's Wife. I went into it expecting a fairly serious thriller type of a movie. I'd seen the previews, and while it didn't look oscar-worthy, it seemed like a decent movie.

Let me warn you all: I was wrong.

Only one scene was suspenseful, the writing was bad, and the acting was generally over-done. And I laughed myself silly.

If you're looking for a movie to make fun of, let me suggest this one. The plot made little sense, the sets were fantastic, and it included such classic scenarios as the following:

Husband: blah, blah, blah, I'd love to go find enemy countries and take a really expensive fighter plane, and kick all kinds of ass.
Wife: How many kinds of ass are there, dear? (to be delivered with a southern belle accent)
Husband: (deadpan) Many, my love.

One of the people I was at the theater with had to leave twice because she laughed so hard. It was fantastic!
