Now it all becomes clear. I think at issue here isn't so much the foodness (foodosity?) of gum as it is *really* the INDISPUTABLE FACT that KISSING SOMEONE WITH ANY SORT OF FOREIGN OBJECT IN YOUR MOUTH IS INCREDIBLY GROSS.

Especially if it is the sort of foreign object that helps create lots of saliva.
