Let me clear this up. That motorhome is about 9 meters. No matter how you measure it, it's no fun passing traffic in one of those.

Being an American, I guess I need to say that we use both the metric (SI) system and the English system. I use both almost every day. I use SAE tools on my Cushman and metric on my Vespa and Toyota. It doesn't bother me. I buy CocaCola in 16 ounce bottles or 2 liter bottles. It tastes the same. Yes, liter is just a correct as litre, depending, I suppose, on where your are. My car and truck have both kph and mph on the speedo. I passed a trailer truck this morning at 115. Does that sound too fast? It isn't. I always measure the fish I catch in centimeters. And I weigh myself in kilograms. I have no idea how many stones I weight. (Flab is flab.) I don't know how many pecks are in a bushel and don't care.
When I was teaching science, I taught metric measurements. They learned English system in math class until about 1980, then the math teachers discovered how much easier the metric system was, and the kids had to learn pounds, feet and gallons at home. Does that clear it up? I didn't think so.
