Allright, it's time to unveil the "real" background of yet another regular: Darien is a time travelling robot sent from the future to the past (and then slightly forward again because originally it went too far back, ala 12 Monkeys). Darien's mission is still shrouded in secrecy and you're not cleared for that (fnord) at the moment, but I can say that it is somehow related to the whole R.I.N.K. thing (ever wonder why Darien was the first person to bring that up?) and that it's intentions are likely for the good of humanity... Unless Darien is actually the evil robot sent back as well, in which case the good robot is already destroyed and we're all screwed....
