I've been noticing something strange. When the weather begins to get ugly, as in thunderstorm, blizzard, flood, etc., the Weather Channel goes off the air. Is this true everywhere or just on our cable system? I first noticed it about three years ago when we had a snowstorm. The temperature stayed below freezing for eight days and we had a dry snow that amounted to about 8 inches, but it blew into 18 in. drifts. In Tennessee, that's a blizzard. The Weather Channel
went off the first day and stayed off until it warmed up. All the other channels were fine. For a thunderstorm or a tornado, it may be off only a few minutes, but it's when you need it most. Right now I'm downstairs in a basement den with no windows. They just went off and I'm trying to decide if I should go up and look out the window. I hope the house is still up there.
