> I don't generally don't watch sports played with a ball. The one exception is when my son-in-law watches soccer. I've been known to watch with him and get interested. He's from Peru where soccer is a national passion. At least soccor has the non-stop action that holds my attention. Football and baseball have too much standing around waiting for something to happen. Sometimes it never happens.

Hmm. I like baseball exactly *because* it's so laid-back. I suppose I wouldn't really like to sit around and watch an entire game by myself, but it's a good group activity. I've never been very much into watching anything else, though - football is big around my house, and I tend to be the party pooper (or used to be, anyway, when I was *at* my house) because I don't understand or enjoy it. I spent three years at football games in hgih school (I was in the band), and never could figure it out. Soccer I've just never found to be enjoyable, despite the number of people who tell me it's fabulous. Racing... well, I've never really watched it. I guess that since I don't like to drive, I don't really like to watch it, either. I dunno, though.

Besides baseball, the only sport I'll watch is tennis. And that only if there are some old pros playing - I saw a match probably a year and a half ago between Jimmy Connors and Bjorn Borg. NOw that was pretty cool.
