When I was a little girl I visited my grandparents on the weekends and my cousins and I played in the acres of surrounding wood. One year we spent a lot of time in a section just off the Blueberry Field which we called the Enchanted Forest. Ice coated all of the branches and the grove sparkled like a magical palace.

One year a natural ice slide formed off an old buggy road down the hill from the main house, and we spent hours sliding down it on our bottoms. Since it was in the woods, we had fun dodging trees!
