Yummmm, homegrown corn.

But a question for you. Unless the whole area is going through a drought, and there are restrictions on water usage, why wouldn't you just get the garden hose out and water when it gets dry? If you're traveling, get the neighbors to do it, and pay them back with fresh produce later on.
