Certainly, times ARE different, and I believe that under certain circumstances, it may be unavoidable to "break the Sabbath." But I also believe that this particular commandment is as applicable today as it was then, as are most of the commandments. Including the part about baptism being neccessary for salvation.
I would personally like to know why "forever", "eternal", "perpetual", etc. doesn't cover our times. It's as though a programmer programmed a loop with no exit condition, and yet people say that the loop was exited because the value of x was changed. And while I'm not advocating stoning for violation, or a return to animal sacrifices, nor am I saying that those who don't follow will go to hell, I'm having trouble seeing something God said is eternal as something that can be done away with, especially by man. Unless of course, these *are* two different Gods, which I don't believe.
