> Don't get me wrong. I do believe baptism is a command given by our Lord God, and Christians should be baptized for that reason. And when you're saved, as those in Acts 16 were, the next natural thing to do is to be baptized. However, nowhere in Scripture does it say that, in our times, baptism is a requirement of salvation. We're saved when we believe.

You've mentioned something along these lines before, I think. I'm talking about the "in our times" part. I'm just curious, but how do you know which parts are meant for ONLY their times, or ONLY our times? Or if it is meant for both times? Or for the people who lived a hundred years ago? I do believe times change and call for a different set of....rules, for lack of a better word. But how do you, personally, distinguish what is not for our times? Did you mean to imply that it WAS a requirement back in Christ's times (or before, for that matter), but it isn't now? Or did I read that the wrong way?

You once told me something similar. You said that you didn't believe that "keeping the Sabbath day holy" was a commandment for our times. I'm just curious, but why do you think this? Certainly, times ARE different, and I believe that under certain circumstances, it may be unavoidable to "break the Sabbath." But I also believe that this particular commandment is as applicable today as it was then, as are most of the commandments. Including the part about baptism being neccessary for salvation.

I hope I'm not coming off the wrong way. I'm not attacking you or your beliefs. I am simply curious.
