(its 2:30pm now, so everything is over now) We saw a little bit of darkness, we saw a sun who looked like half of a moon, and shrinked to a little border, but IT WASNT EVEN COMPLETELY DARK! We looked stupid, we were standing outside with all the colleagues, staring at the sun with funny protecting glasses on ....and there was nothing exciting to see!
I thought it was interesting enough that the intensity of light dropped so that it felt as if you were wearing mild sunglasses. I didn't have any of the funny glasses: They have been sold out since yesterday -- gives you an impression of the sudden surge of interest from people who will have forgotten everything in two weeks time when their favourite bicycle rider has been accused of doping :(

Well, in some parts of Europe, it's supposed to have been a complete eclipse. In Denmark the news have been full of stories about people going to Germany and France (and Bulgaria...) to experience the real thing. There was this story of a school class, whose teacher had arranged for them to go on a buss trip. By staying near a highway junction in Northern Germany and keeping in touch with their school at home, they hoped to outrun the clouds if they turned up.

Yeah, it's interesting if you're the sorta philosophical type. Think about it: Life, death, Sun, Moon, 42.
