Plus there's Roger Ebert's review, linked to below, which, as usual, I found fascinating to read, even if I don't end up agreeing with him.

On the other hand, the movie has its share of detractors, too. Personally, I'm of an unsure mind. Renny Harlin is arguably my least favorite "name" director of all time. Yet against the sway of public opinion, I loved "Anaconda" (for the very reasons others did not), and I get the sense that "Deep Blue Sea" is more in that vein than in "Jaws" that everyone keeps comparing it to.

I don't know if I'll see it before it hits video, but I will most certainly see it, and At-A-Glance Film Reviews will have my take on it when I do.
