No that I have your attention with my catchy, alliterative title...

I have a couple of dumb questions, and since you guys are a wonderful source of handy knowledge...

Regency Novels.
I'm reading a few silly Romance Novels set in the ?Nineteenth Century, by Georgette Heyer, and I have two questions.
1. I can understand the English exclamations, but Egads! I don't understand any of the French. Can anyone translate some of them?: "Vraiment", "Voyons", "'Tiens", "Eh, Bien".

2.Reference is continually made to "The Gunnings Sisters" Who, though apparently of no fortune and little birth, managed to snare for themselves a Baron and a ?Duke as husbands, through their beauty alone. How do I find out if these charming creatures really existed?

Rinkworks
Just one question.
When I read someones reply, sometimes the message they are replying to appears to go across the page, and sometimes it appears to be in a column. Why the differences?

Sad questions, hunh?

sam"Well, Rinkworks is like a Regency Novel. Despite many travails (Distance, not seeing each other face to face, etc), everyone seems to fall in love, and there is so much happy ever after..."hael
