It wasn't always that way. In fact, you'll notice
that some of my posts (take this one for
example) are in column format, while some of
them are not.

Internet Explorer for the Macintosh, which is
what I use at work, is one of those stupid
browsers that makes a new line every time the
text hits the edge of the input field. I don't like it,
but there's nothing I can do about it. When I go
home, I'm using IE5 for Windows, and it does
it the right way.

I actually like Eric's method of putting the post
he's replying to in column format, and I
experimented with doing that myself for a
while, but found that it was too much trouble
for me to bother with. And of course it makes
no difference what I do at work; IE columnates
everything. Bah.
