I don't know if this subject has been posted here before (possibly even by me), but...oh well, time it got another airing. I have heard that Microsoft Internet Explorer now has a very small piece of code hiding within it. This code is normally innocuous, but set up a Hotmail account with this browser and you will suddenly have the account flooded with spam. The code sends your new address to whoever Microsoft wishes to sell it to. It's probably somewhere in the Terms of Service, but since no-one ever reads them that doesn't matter to them too much. And the proof? Set up a Hotmail account with Navigator. Nothing. No spam. Heavenly...
