I've tried to think of a good way to start this post, but there isn't one. Maybe I shouldn't be saying it at all yet, but I figure the sooner I get this out of the way, the sooner I can stop worrying about how or when to tell people. It looks like my 11-year de facto marriage is over. I will possibly have more to say about this in a few more weeks or months, or however long it takes me to be capable of rational thought again, but that's the summarised version.

For goodness sake don't start asking for details or giving advice, because right now I'm still concentrating on things like remembering to eat and sleep at least once a week, and wondering where more than a third of my life just went.
