I wear glasses as well. I'm near-sighted, so things that are more than about five feet away start to get blurry. When I wear my glasses I can see everything clearly and it is wonderful. I don't wear contacts because I'm terribly squeamish about eyes and SHOVING GIANT PIECES OF PLASTIC DIRECTLY INTO THEM, I like the fact that I can take my glasses off in under a second if I want to look at something up close, such as a computer or a book, and my glasses will never become lodged in my eye and cause a retinal infection or corneal hemorrhage or whatever that bad thing that always happens to contact-wearers' eyes is. Also, I like the way that glasses feel on my face. I think that if I ever had the option to get laser surgery I'd turn it down. I -like- wearing glasses.
