I hate looking around all the stuff I have to move, and realising that while it's too much to move in one easy carload, it's too little to add up to the nice home that I always thought I'd have by my age. I hate spending two weeks packing, and another two weeks throwing away half of everything I own to make it easier, and then more packing, and then having to unpack it all again at the other end. >

Plus, there's the lovely rule that "stuff expands to fill available space" - no matter how big the place you finally do move into is, it will be too small for your stuff in about six months.

We moved last time with a two-year old and a four-month old. My husband and I still wake up screaming.
