I'll bet that was a moving experience. Personally, I haven't moved in 30 years, so imagine how much "stuff" I have. As for the rule about how "stuff" expands to fill available space -- You don't have to move to observe it. I built a garage that was about a 1.5 car garage. It's 16 feet wide and 28 feet long. I put the car in it for the first couple of months and then there wasn't room for it any more. Then we put an addition on the house that included a sort of sun room, family room, great room. It had two closets (now full) and a half-bath. Underneath is a 34X14 shop(now full). We also added a 24X10 shed to the garage and it is also full. I may have to move to find some more space. Howard

I hate spending two weeks packing, and another two weeks throwing away half of everything I own to make it easier, and then more packing, and then having to unpack it all again at the other end. > > > > Brunnen-"and please amplify the hatred in this post by about a factor of eight, to compensate for how seldom I usually rant about anything to this extent"G > > Plus, there's the lovely rule that "stuff expands to fill available space" - no matter how big the place you finally do move into is, it will be too small for your stuff in about six months. > > We moved last time with a two-year old and a four-month old.
