My little brother is mentally handicapped, so I feel like I should have quite a lot to tell you, but...can't think of anything off the top of my head. Be patient of course. I guess the main thing is to make sure they're being watched at all times, my brother had a fall in school last week - the second time this has happened - because his teachers aren't doing their jobs by watching him. Even after a doctor wrote a note saying he shouldn't be left unattended the first time it happened. So just make sure none of the kids wander out of your sight, they really can't be left alone.
