Well, that solves that, I guess. Someone finally figured out why:

- Metric is the dominant system on the speedometer dial(i.e. 10s in km/h are big and get the big tick-marks, while 10s in mph are small and get none)

- The headlights are wired to be on whenever the engine's running.

It's Canadian. I'm told that, in Canada, the headlights are required to be on all the time. (Verification, please?)

In addition:

- Temp is in Celsius

- Oil pressure is in (whatever the metric measure is; the high end is 550)

Now, to find out why the sliding door on the right will NOT open from the inside under ANY circumstances...
