I was looking through the archives this evening, and found the results of the "Reader's Poll Contest." The following question surprised me.

["What's your favorite ice cream flavor? Chocolate. Vanilla. Choco/Nilla swirl. Strawberry. Cookie Dough Chunk. Cookies 'n' Cream. Mint Chocolate Chip. Superman. Bubble Gum. Butter Pecan. Some other obscure flavor." -- Mikey]

What surprised me was the inclusion of the flavors Superman and Bubblegum.

I have only encountered these flavors once in my life, and that was at a small local dairy in the heavily Pennsylvania Dutch area just outside Philadelphia. I lived a few miles from this dairy, and the two mentioned flavors were my favorites.

Anyway, I have looked for these flavors elsewhere, with no luck. Who is Mikey? And are these flavors more available than I thought?
