> One last little rant. I'm currently less then three months away from going to college. This will be the first real time that I've been away from my family for an extended period of time (not counting the DC trip). I'll probably be one of those type that go home every weekend (kinda hard not to when it's a mere 30 miles from the college). But it's just the fact that it seems like just a short while ago I was just entering high school and meeting all these new people and now, here I am today, graduated from high school, one last summer before my life changes for the first time, and I don't know what to expect. But I guess I will adapt and just be thankful that I'm not halfway across the country (not saying that is bad. Actually, I'm kinda hoping that I could go to college in Japan or England in my junior year or something. That way, I could see the world and stuff).
Ohh, ohh, me too, me too!! Next week I will have finished my A level exams and will have the whole summer for lazing around and doing nothing. I too am the kind who will probably go home every weekend but I reckon that since I am an adaptable sort of person, it will be OK and I'll really enjoy the experience. Both of the Universities are relatively near home (about 1 and 1/2 hours away), plus, they are both about 1 hour away from London on the train so going up to see my other friends in Sheffield and Nottingham and York and Durham and Edinburgh won't be too much of a problem. I am really looking forward to studying just one subject (Art History)having studied 5 at college with varied degrees of sucess. Medieval History (a subject on which I have ranted loud and long) is soooooo soooo hard and I can't wait until next Thursday when I have my last exam (Medieval Crusades) and I am free, free I tell you!!!!!!!
Oh, and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is a fantastic film but you're right, I wouldn't even consider watching it in English...the subtitles made it so powerful. Particularly the end bit when...oh no, wait...someone might be reading this who hasn't seen the film....well...the end bit with him and her...is that too vague?
Oh dear......what else did you post about?...oh yes....Wrestling. That cracks me up. Seriously. Plus, last year, I met a posh third year undergraduate Law student from Oxford University who was completely obsessed with the sport. WWF though, not WCW. Although Hulk Hogan was comical.
Don't worry about University and stuff, you sound like a cool, adaptable sort of person and I'm sure you'll get along just fine. Plus, there's about 400 people right here for you.
