As opposed to cars in Europe, which are famous for being the size of a shoebox? I'd take a big car any day. In fact, my complaint about American cars is that they're too small! Back once upon a time, like in the twenties and thirties (I'm just guessing in the time frame here because I wasn't alive back then) they were HUGE and those ones RULE.

Well, of course we're going to have way more cars than you do. We have way more people and way more land than you do.

?! What else do you expect us to do, walk fifty miles each direction per day? Or maybe we shold just go back to horse and buggy. Much less efficient and way more maintenance, but oh well. Or maybe we could fly to work in our own private helicopters.

It's sick for people to buy a certain type of vehicle because you think it's "yuch"? Your tastes dictate everyone else's buying habits? We have an SUV and it's great. It can fit loads of stuff in it, the four-wheel-drive is great for when we go, for example, to Mexico, and it's a general all-around nice car. People say it's unsafe and dangerous, but I haven't noticed any problem yet. I think it depends more on the driver than the vehicle.
