The three points as to why we shouldn't have homework are - When we come home, all we want to do is just chill out, as most people would agree too. We spend 7 hours in school, in aggravation and frustrtoin, so why should we have to bring that home with us too? Everyone says that kids don't spend enough "quality time" with family and friends, but we don't have the time. 35 of our waking hours are spent in school weekly. Then, we come home to 2 or 3 hours a day of homework. That is between 10 and 15 hours of homework a week. Say you have a test the next day. You get home at four, had basketball at seven, ate dinner at five, and then in between those times you studied. Then, at night you still have to study additional hours and finish your homework. You probably won't get to bed until after midnight. Therefore, any thing you've studied may have left your brain by the time your alarm goes off at 5, and even if you |
