I think Florida has been set. When the networks announced calling florida a "toss-up", Bush was ahead by 200,000. Then a few trucks full of ballots went missing. And the race tightened signfigantly.

People are claiming they should give Buchanan votes to Gore because the ballot was confusing. Sorry, but it's their own fault if so... which I doubt.

They claimed to have found a lockbox containing thousands of ballots... and those, suspiciously heavily Gore.

Some now claim that the number of Gore votes was heavily underweighted do to "computer error."

The Democrats can't stand to lose after coming so close. They're pulling out all the stops. Gore is sending tons of lawyers to try to dispute enough ballots to give him the election.

This race has been compared to 1960. It was a very similar thing. It all came down to one state. Illinois. It started out heavily republican, the democratic counties finished counting late, and it came out democratic. But not legally. Thousands of dead people had voted, forged ballots, you name it. But they only found out too late. I think the Democrats are trying/have tried something similar.
