The one-location-per-day schedule is even more messed up now than before. Some days I do more; some none at all. But the progress continues at roughly the same weekly rate even if the daily rate is all messed up. I'm at 101.75 locations now, and the design work for the rest of the game is complete, although there are two longish sequences toward the end that are going to be somewhat improvised when I get to them. The important part is that I know what's going to happen, and that's such a relief, because I can see where I'm going and, pleasantly, how far I have left to go. Specifically, I have 24.25 locations, plus the two sequences (which may be part of the 24.25 or may not; I haven't figured out that implementation detail yet) left to go. That light at the end of the tunnel is lookin' good after nearly two years of none at all.

Assuming my projections about the final size of the project turn out correctly, GotA will end up with maybe ten fewer locations than FQ had, but the code size will be about three times larger, which translates roughly into three times the level of detail and interactivity.
