Ok, here it is, for those of you that have waited with breathless anticiptation:

September 22: Day before the wedding, I went to stay at my parent's house overnight, so we could get a head start (get it?) on my hair.

September 23: Up at 4:30AM. Put hair in hot rollers. My Aunt got to my parents house at about 6:00 (She's a hair dresser and was in charge of my hair for the day.)
6:15 Realized that Don didn't put the Marriage License in my suitcase like I thought I had remembered him telling me. Tried to call him to make sure he had it, but he had already left.
6:30 Frantically searching for last minute things that we needed to take.
6:45 Running behind, can't find my wallet, which has my ID, and a couple of other things I need. Getting kinda frustrated now.
6:50 Piled in the car; on the way!
7:45 Got to the Salt Lake Temple, where Don and his parent's were waiting for us so we could sign all the paper work involved. Told Don that I didn't have the marriage license and spent about a half hour making phone calls, trying to get someone to break into our apartment (about 45 minutes away from Salt Lake City) and drive it out to us.
8:15 Found out that the license was on the way, finished up the paperwork, and ran to the ladies room to try to fix my hair, which had gotten slightly out of control.
8:45 Went to put on my dress
9:30 Finally time to get married, only a half an hour behind (Miracle of miracles!)

The ceremony was rather short, there was a couple waiting to be married right after us, so they hurried us through. But it was very sweet.

We had our Wedding brunch at The Lion House, which had very good food. It was fun to see all of our friends and family and get to talk to people we hadn't seen for a while.

And then comes the reception.

Whew, where to start? Not much went wrong, that I can think off. Oh, except that it was snowing. Did I mention that it was supposed to be an outdoor reception? Well...It wasn't. We had reserved an LDS church house just in case the weather didn't cooperate, so we had to quickly move everything over to there. I didn't have to do much, however, because I was getting my hair done (yet again) for the reception. Did I mention that it's great to have an Aunt that's a hairdresser? Well, it is. She was great, she was there for hours doing my hair, not to mention Mia's and Sarya's...

Two hours of standing in line, shaking hands with people you only vaguely remember... Who's bright idea was this? Actually it turned into about 3 hours. We cut the cake, with my trying to get Don to behave himself and him caving into the peer pressure of smearing cake in my face. Well, I had to get him back, of course. It was very good cake, though. The little bit that I got to taste.

And Mia and Sarya made WONDERFUL, DELICIOUS MINTS...that I didn't even get to taste because I was too busy standing there, shaking hands with people I hardly knew.

And we're off! Finally!

September 24: We flew out to San Pedro, CA. where our boat was sailing from on the 25th
September 25: Arrived early and we were one of the first couples on the boat. Got to our cabin, unpacked, and then spent the next 5 days, 4 nights, eating. Yup, they had unlimited food on that boat.
September 26: Catalina Island. Spent the day wandering the streets, spending money, kayaking, taking pictures, being very touristy. It was great fun. This was also "Formal Night" on the cruise, we got to dress up and had a great time.
September 27: Ensenada, Mexico. Well, what is there to say about Ensenada? There's a cool blowhole thing...the water enters into this cave and the pressure shoots it high up into the air...other than that, it's just like any other Mexican town I've been to. (Three, counting this one) Dirty, depressing, people trying to sell us things we don't need. We bought Don a hat and some sunglasses. I'm sure we paid way too much for them, too.
September 28: Fun Day at Sea. The boat basically spent the whole day making circles in the Baha peninsula, and headed back to San Pedro.
September 29: Back at San Pedro, get off the boat. We walked back to our hotel, which was just down the street from the harbor.
September 30: Flew back to Utah. Time for another reception, this time in Don's hometown (The first one was in mine) got out of there at about 10:30 and went home and crashed...
October 1: Now for the fun part! Opening presents. We had all the gifts stashed at his parent's house and spent about 3 hours opening them all.

And that's about it, folks.

Ti"It's strange to have a new last name, might take some time to get used to"cia
