We did get to keep our top teir for our 1st anniversary, but we never got to eat that either. That's another story, but suffice it to say that one bite each is all we ever got.

When you get married, be sure to plan time for you and your new spouse to stop and eat some food. First, you should be able to enjoy the food you picked out, including the cake. Second, if you don't, you might not feel too good on an empty stomach after you leave the reception. Then, have a great marriage!

That's what we did as well. There was a buffet and everyone took time to eat before the best man's toast and the wander around and greet everyone individually time.

One thing I thought was odd was we had to leave the reception twice -- once for the photographer (the "fake" leaving), and once, hours later, when we actually left.
